Hi all,

Quick question regarding fuel consumption on my 2015 V40 D4 190bhp...

I do a 300 mile round trip each week for work and average 59 mpg - a great figure from a 2 litre, but despite this I seem to be topping up more with this vehicle than I did with my 1.6 D2 V60 which only ever average 52mpg. I know there is a 7 litre difference in tank size which isn't great but my real question is, I tend to only top up £20-£30 at a time and never more than half a tank.

Is this counter intuitive topping up such small amounts?
