Hi all,

The hand brake cable snapped on my 850 yesterday, has anyone experienced this before ??

My dealer says that they have never changed one, so couldn't give me an accurate quote because they don't know how long it will take (?) they said it should not be more than £190 plus vat OUCH!

ATS won't touch it, the local Halfords/now AA garage don't have it listed but are willing to "have a go" hhmmm

I have booked it in at the local volvo specialist, they have not changed one either but they said it should only cost about £115 plus VAT.

The haynes manual says that the rear seats have to be taken out to get access ??

Surely I am not the only 850 owner to have a broken hand brake cable?
