So, had the software update and they said it drove much better after but it still felt like it wasn't right to me so they put it into Thameside transmissions who found no codes and said it drove perfectly.

A month on and 1K miles later and I'm still scratching my head as to what could be going on with my car. Could it just be that this vibration and erratic revs/gearchanges are normal for a Volvo Xc90?

Under smooth acceleration is feels like the car is over Revving and taking too long to change up - this is all accompanied by vibration through the footwell. Going up hill it shudders is if I'm driving on an uneven road surface. Once it level out and maintain a certain speeds all symptoms go away although it does feel like it needs to drop a gear sometimes to make the ride a little smoother.

I love this car but its a never ending head ache!
