If you wanted to try something quite cheap and cheerful - but I think still look fine, you might try Volvo Pholus. I bought a set (from 360beast - above) that would have come from a 940 for £30, they cost £30 worth of materials and about probably 12 hours work (spread over a week). I use then for my 244's winter tyres, in my humble opinion they look smart and suit the motor car:

... they are 15" (probably the same as your steel wheels?).

Just an idea - perhaps they suit a 244 better than a 940?
