I’m pretty certain the explanation is just that I use GAM exclusively for short journeys, mostly around town; the Skoda, Porsche or even the RB are always better choices for longer journeys.
I’m planning to attend the VOC Trent Valley section meeting at Calverton in June, which will be about a 120 mile round trip - I’ll measure the consumption then.
