I know Volvo don’t manufacture brake components (they did for the XC90 I believe).
Buying “genuine”, although made by ATE are still better quality than the likes of Pagid for example.
The same goes for oil filters. Volvo don’t manufacture them, Mann do. Mann is probably the best filter you can get, so buying “genuine” makes sense.
