I would have advised you to have an lpg conversion, mine cost £1400 and has saved me over £8000 but sadly it seems to be a dying car fuel, fewer places stocking it now, Shell are withdrawing it completely they have announced and the new green initiatives coming into place soon mean there will be no place for it.
Beautiful looking car. I think you have to look at it that what you splurge out on fuel you recoup with reliability and longevity. I've had my 940 over 11 years now and many on here have owned their longer and gone around the clock several times.
