I fill up when 50 miles left in the tank. Most I have put in to fill is 65.9 litres in a 70 litre tank from 'empty'. So I guess not completely empty. I'd never drive it to ---. Heard too many stories of people running out or regurlary driving on fumes to then have problems with the engine later and gunk clogging fuel lines.
