I would agree with Clan that the fuel range on the VEA is pretty accurate save for one thing, that if you get as low as 20 miles left and then have a long gentle up gradient for a few miles you then run out! I now don't take chances.
Now my Vitesse (1969) on the other hand when it runs, out merely entails running round to the rear opening the boot turning the lever on the top of the tank to reserve and then turning the car over to pump the fuel back to carbs and you're good to go, first stop petrol pump, whats not to like.
It's also got one of those dipstick thingys!!!!
