And how are you getting the power down? My mere 450NM requires circumspection in some conditions and is clearly on a knife edge with the chassis and (the really rather good) stability systems. An extra 50 on top would be largely beyond the cars ability to lay it down properly, so would be largely pointless. Chassis mods would likely bring a more accessible perfomance gain than simply taking a D5 engine to 500NM in isolation.

Its a holistic proposition and i see little evidence that is understood in your blind power madness.
Manual M66 it would be. the thing with autos is the torque converter but no ones looked into getting a better one that I know of so there is a limit on those. manual does over 500nm no problems probably more easily enough. thats the thing going into the unknown you try it you break it and learn from it. or maybe you try it and it works just fine.

did you know the fuel pump is capable of far more 550hp in fact not that you would ever get that out of a d5. but did you also know those BMW 335d's and 330d's etc their fuel pump isn't as good as the Volvo. the bmw has a R90 pump the volvo has a r110

the injectors on the volvo are more than capable of delivering the fuel the worst case scenario would be new nozzles.

the block isnt capable of going 600 the liners will crack

the dmf is certainly capable with a different clutch without going for a paddle clutch.

straight through exhaust necessary

doo8 intercooler very necessary

all that leaves is the tuner.

How blind is that?

any more questions?
