My local Indy Volvo garage, where I will be getting my car serviced, when its due. Quoted me £190 inc Vat to supply and fit genuine Volvo front disks and pads on a 54 plate S40 2.0D SE.
I recently took my old (51 plate) C70 in for a service - quoted £210 including Volvo "loyalty" discount. Actual cost - £800 with replacement rears pads, new suspension spring and new wheel bearing!!

A friend of mine in the motor trade told me that Volvo dealerships have to kit out their showrooms directly from Volvo right down to the smallest details - including Swedish maple, etc. Believe it or not, Volvo also have a "vase of the month" which all dealers have to buy each month at £150 a time. Apparently this is one of the reasons why Volvo dealers charge £80 an hour for workshop time whereas your local garage will be much cheaper
