I feel for you, this is the worst kind of fault. Had similar - fuel pump relay would drop out, in my case I had a clue. I didn't get a code but could hear the fuel pump running 4-5 mins after ignition OFF, the FPR would stick ON and randomly drop. But without that clue, reckon I'd be at it now.
