Yes, S70 V70 C70 MY 97 and MY 98 is very similiar woth 850 MY 96 97. Engine bay is identical.
From MY 99 become in 70 Series:
Electronic Thottle Module
5 coils for 5 sparks
Variable Valve Timing (intake)
Stability Control instead TRACS
But i not know if from MY 99 is present CANBUS.
EBD2 is present in Series 70 MY97 and MY98.
