So boot struts arrived in under 48hrs and cost £30 delivered
A 5 min job is an overstatement
I propped the boot open with a bit of wood just in case and my son did one side while I did the other
Pop off the clip…
Unscrew the strut from the coupling on the pillar
And then screw the new strut in and replace the clip
What a world of difference
Before it would stay open but barely had any lift and then just drop freely from the horizontal and make a right bang
