Top hose is about 85degC and bottom hose is about 75degC with rad about 40degC
This doesn’t seem right to me tbh
So in lieu of another flush of the system and putting it all back together again, I secured a new rad for £50 and will replace that too after another flush.
85C sounds perfectly normal for the top hose, that isn't overheating at all. The system is pressurised so it won't boil until quite a way over 100c, I'm not sure you have much to worry about.
Was the old radiator leaking? They don't often fail, but I suppose the new one will look smart in the engine bay :-).
