+1 on tyres ; wheels ; rubbing on full lock. IIRC the cure was to install wheel spacers ( 10mm to 25mm) This widened the track; allowed the wheels to turn in/out more (reducing the Torrey Canyon turning circle; the bump stops still stopped wheel contact against the inner wing) At the time quality wheel spacers were north of £40/pair so I never bothered as the rubbing did not bother me that much. I discussed the spacers with my insurance company and they said upto 25mm would not effect the premium.
Also again back in the day I remember a thread concluding an under engine tray was not good for our cars as fitting significantly reduced cooling.
