The car will have been main dealer serviced for the first 3 years or so, and if there are no significant updates on a 2016 D4 4 cyl since, say 2019, it is probably a waste of time and money.

Yes you get the same package they do on every service and every used car sold . Updates are issued on a monthly basis so
very worthwhile to leave the dealer with them all current . No, what's included is not published in UK but they could tell you which modules have been updated if you were interested and if they can be bothered to jot down the 30+ or so modules that may have been updated . .
