That round disc could be a blank where the clutch pushrod would have passed through the bulkhead.
The valve appears to be secured to that plate which is mounted against the bulkhead.
Is it possible to see, on the engine side of the bulkhead, any fixings from that plate which pass through the bulkhead? Inboard and about level with, or slightly below, the brake master cylinder fixings.
