Hi army thanks for your input on seat quest. Quite like the Ford Ka Seats conversion on Morris 1000. Will have to visit local breaker and see what is available. Had a PV 444 back in the 70’s and did the Amazon seat conversion to that. But of course those seats were much easier to come by then!
As an aside - Sent grill surround,2 door handles, 1 boot handle and some bits of bonnet trim for quote and possible re chroming to a firm in the Midlands. I know chrome work is expensive and was fully expecting to pay about £250 for the stripping and dipping process. But when I received a quote for £620 + vat and carriage my heart sank. I hurriedly phoned the company and asked them to return the parts untouched. Have asked Simon at Brookhouse to see if he can supply the parts new. I have seen them for sale in Sweden and am sure the cost would be significantly less than Chroming quote.
