I believe it will be oil cooled.
Volvo won't be wanting to touch it due to it's age, it's a car that left them 10 years ago and I have to kinda agree with them.
However the dealer a completely different story and I hope you get them to put it right one way or another, it's time misdiagnosis was re-compensated and when they fit the wrong things they should stand by them and only charge for the actual fault, right now they can guess as many times as they like and the customer stands there with a bill after bill and still doesn't get a result.
