Good call on the DEM module - I've looked at haldex before on my old xc90 which had an error code on that and flushed the oil in it, but would not have considered it on my v60.
I'll try to get under to look if the issue reoccurs - anything electrical is a nightmare to disagnose if intermittent. As you say Haldex modules are easily repaired as common across multiple manufacturers
