Not true. Just ask dealer to remove MOST protection (£20 plus labour) and you are good with any used unit of the infotainment. The software is called Itp remove. Most dealers have no clue or not being helpful. If you remove the Itp most used modules will work and if they don't then they have to do software reload of that unit. Infotainment system has all the serial nr of the unit in CEM after a patch it's not checking
