If you remove the centre console, access to the seatbelt buckle holder is plentiful. The only thing that may be an issue, is the wire that comes out of it and plugs to nowhere....
You should be able to remove it, by sticking your head on the footwell and using your hands to remove it. If I remember correctly, it is held in a place or two, by a zip tie
