Does the 900 backup box fit the 902 or 903 without any modification? In other words, if I buy the Thule backup 900, will it fit the 902 & 903 and allow it to tilt down giving access to my van without having to modify anything?

I've already…
Oh never mind, just go sit over there.
902 or 903 works with 900 box. Advantages of 903 already given. You can without much hassle squeeze a bike and a 900. Good for ragtops. On hols no towing speed limit. Except on ferries and tolls, most times a diddy trailer is cheaper and more everyday versatile. A 900 & 903 is a pig to store. Trailer for most people less so. Best of both worlds is a folding trailer. Takes less space than a 900 or any usual trailer, and isn't nearly as easily damaged as a 900 knocking about in your garage.
No longer made, so rare as rockin' horse poo. I can't sit on the legal limit like I could motorway bash with a 903, but a samll price to pay for versatilty. 5-6 bikes, and treble what any 900 could hold. And use it as builder's skip on the odd occasion. I've done the overpriced Thule roofbox thing as well, they never give you all the space you really find you want except if you buy the truly large models, and like the 900, they become even bigger pigs to store. People buy into the roofbox thing to avoid a towbar. This rarely works, because for the rest of the year, you're stuck with the thing.
Wheel it thru' your house or down a side passage, guess what i have these days?
