Default C70 2.0d Remapped

Well after finding some information on here from those kind enough to share their experiences I thought I'd add mine as I've just had my car remapped following many exhaust gas pressure switch gremlins!

I decided to go with a local tuner who comes to you and requested a stage 1 with dpf and egr delete. Now before anyone gets all righteous with me I'd put up with many engine service warnings and been through the pain of diagnostics and the sorts many times and had enough of the various issues and poor performance (this engine always felt pretty lame and economy wasn't great) so decided to put an end to my woes in one final and complete swoop!
So he arrived, ecu was removed and cover taken off etc. Old map scanned and emailed to me and new map downloaded to the ecu. 30 minutes later car back together and car started and no niggles whatsoever. I took it out for a test drive and immediately noticed a good 20% increase in torque and general performance with a much smoother uptake of power and a noticeable feeling of a gentle power band that was lacking previously. To say I was feeling happy is an understatement. The car isn't rapid as its a heavy lump but the improvement is obvious. No real lag and stronger in every gear. I reset the trip computer and already see an improvement so with this and of course it being early days I would definitely recommend as the difference is noticeable without being silly or what I would call rapid, but definitely how the car should of left the factory as with roughly 160-170bhp. So to sum it up much improvement of a strangled engine and a far nicer driving experience for those who feel that the standard output is rather strangled in delivery.
Anyone contemplating a remap should not expect the car to perform like a 3.0ltr but it definitely feels more attuned to a modern 2.0d now than it ever did previously. Hope this helps etc.
