It costs about £1.77 to charge the 11.8kWh battery which gives you about 20 miles of pure electric.
Round town on the T8, you'd get about 20mpg on pure petrol. A gallon of petrol is £5.90.
So about a £4 per 20 mile saving IF you only drive the car on electric only at all times. Or £20 per 100 miles. Or £200 per 1000 miles. etc etc. Obviously no-one ever drives on electric only.
I get about 50-60mpg on my T8 which is a mix of city driving and 2 to 3 x 150 mile trips per tank. I don't know how many charges I do per tank, but it's probably about 10-15 x full charges and I get 600-700 miles per tank (15 gallon tank).
So I reckon costs circa £100 per tank for petrol and electricity (£80 petrol, £20 electricity) - and I get 700 miles out of £100.
.....or you just drive it and not worry too much about it. You could drive yourself mad with the mathematics! While it is using electricity, it is cheaper and cleaner. I won't go into the additional purchase price, battery econess, extra weight, etc!! The driving experience is also nicer as it goes like stink for a 2.3 tonne car, and is quieter and smoother around town.
