My59 V70 2.0d ~150k Manual tailgate
Boot release handle has sometimes been a bit sticky and not always returning boot handle to “closed” position.
Decided to take a better look at it today and seems the handle supporting rod has rusted slightly...

I suppose it’s an area I’ve never given any attention to when washing and probably gets quite a bit of salt stuck up in there.
Has anyone replaced the rod before or should I look to get a full boot module from a scrap dealer?
