Fixing an EGR issue, by deleting the component is illegal in UK. Assume we are talking about the UK. Further more, it does not fix the issue. It would be akin to saying my passenger side mirror has stopped working. It's ok, I removed it altogether and blanked it off. It hasn't fixed the issue of the mirror not working. Now the car is illegal as a result.
