As discussed above. You don't mention that you've done the things suggested?
If you haven't checked the bolts this is dead simple; pop out the plastic dust caps in the centre of the front wheels, take a 14mm socket and see if the bolts tighten. If they do move when tightenning then the thread lock has gone and you will find that the noise returns after just a few miles as they work loose again. Apply the fix above by replacing the bolts with the XC90 ones with threadlock already applied and a rubber locking washer.
