I've heard about LED bulbs not dimming / turning off entirely. When I got my V70 it had led bulbs in it that flickered horribly.

I replaced them with some from Amazon Inlink 6pcs White Error Free Festoon canbus 4SMD 5050 42mm LED Car led License Plate Light Festoon led Bulb festoon dome lamp DC 12V https://amzn.eu/d/hFKPvaT

I hadn't thought about doing the dash but that kinda sounds more effort than its worth.

Number plate bulbs I did replace with some from Auto Bulbs Direct (501 Twenty20 Elegance Canbus LED). The previous bulbs had melted the plastic around them.
