I'm diagnosing a similar problem on a 2006 XC70 at the moment:
- ECM-500F DTC being logged
- 108 kPa on the A/C pressure sensor (coincidentally the same value you had?).
- AC clutch is working (verified using the activation when the engine was not running), but never engaged.
I'm currently thinking that the problem is likely just that the ECM refuses to engage the compressor because of the low pressure, and I'm thinking of getting the system topped up. Did that end up working for you?
