i Have to agree with the 2nd part of that, a ATF change with the correct grade atf ,done correctly hasnt hurt ,

unfortunately i also agree with TT on the 1st part , the volvo main dealers i have asked about getting it done either came out with the "sealed for life" or were plain Not interested/didnt want to do it /were not prepared to do it,, could be its a "regional" issue as im not Too far from TT, or as TT suggests, they realise there Could be a serious issue and dont want to go near it as "didnt do that before you touched it = your responsibility"
either way a GOOD autobox Specialist , the correct ATF grade + amount for That box, without a "power flush" !! is never a bad idea.. age/milage/useage dependant Imho

to the OP
find a local to you Autobox specialist, explain what your experiencing, Check which grade ATF you need and get a cost to change it, do Not go for a "power flush" !
also worth trying
Start the car, allow the engine to come OFF enrichment mode (rev's drop back to normal idle speed) THEN move gear selector from Park into Drive/Reverse as needed,,
allows the atf to get flowing a little before being "needed/used" and Will cut down the initial "clunk/donk/jolt" from cold, also wont do the engine any harm as its at a temp where it Doesnt Need enrichment mode
