yes the first thing is change the oil and make sure the gearbox software is up to date . then run it for a few days ..
If you have just bought it I guess you have bought someone else's problem .
if that doesn't help there are other options . see how it goes.

Definitely not sealed for life, something that uses oil has to have it changed at some point surely....
I had mine changed at 60k and I don't tow or anything, made a massive difference and also for peace of mind, mine was £350 at Volvo
