I've also had lots of fun with the NS headlamp, which caused a failure for the MOT as it was maladjusted. Sadly, the usual story of broken clips and rusty nuts made its appearance, and it took an awful lot of work to sort them out. One of the adjusters was seized so solidly that it snapped off the plastic:
However, I made a temporary home-made fix which enabled an MOT pass.
I have just had a new plastic frame delivered from mylittletony (this thread:
http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=230807), so I will replace it properly soon, as well as try to repeat the whole horrendous process with the OS headlamp.
