Electric is teh way to go for short runs especially if in built up areas.
Diesel is a big no, little point in LPG as by the time you reach change over temp your likely to be switching off and the LPG system works best when fully hot. That leaves you with running petrol or going for an electric car.
Electric is now making much more sense for many cars users. As most housholds now have two cars it makes huge sense to go electric if one of the cars is normally used for short runs
