The original alloys on my 2015 Polestar refitted yesterday have very, very slight corrosion; they were on the car since new, only taken off to fit winter wheels and tyres in January this year. The corrosion is where there is little radius ( sharper edges0, so a thin paint film.
The winter wheels, brand new Momo ones are showing a lot more corrosion already after only 3 months use ! Diamond cut, the corrosion is near the centre caps. I suspect it's due to the centre bore adaptor rings; allowing water to be retained in the centre bore. I think they must be useless anyhow as the wheel bolt tapers locate the wheel to the hub, so I'll remove them.
