Anyway, we decided to drive to Wells-Next-The-Sea and get some fresh air. I decided to take the 05 XC70 with the 163 D5 and see what kind of mileage I'd get.
Lovely place..
The onboard computer read 60.9mpg average when parked back home -145 mile round trip.
Tomorrow we'll do it again with the 08 XC70 D5 Lux Polestar. I am making a guess the mileage will be in the 40's - maybe low 50's as it's on B roads and seldom over 60mph. |
Yesterday (June 19) we did the trip to Wells-Next-The-Sea again.
Partly to verify the 163 XC70 mileage, partly to raid an antics store, partly for another visit to French's for Fish and Chips.
I did not reset the onboard computer and when we arrived back home again it read 60.6.
Reinforced my decision to hang onto this car..
