I believe this guide will also apply to the 700 series as the door cards are a very similar style.
These photos are from the front of a 1998 940, the rear door cards also follow the same principal.
First thing is to remove the trim clip in the door pull

Turn it 90 degrees and pull it out

Next you need to carefully push the speaker grille towards the front of the car, be careful as there are two trim bolt like things the grille slides over.

Now very carefully lift the trim that surrounds the window switches

Once the trim has been removed you can pull the switch pack out and unplug it all

Now at the bottom of the door card there are two or three (can't quite remember) white clips that you need to use a flat blade screwdriver to flick out

Now remove the door card light cover as it holds the door card on too

Now you can pull the door card away at the bottom, if you can't then you've done something wrong.

Now you just lift the door card up and over the edge of the door and the lock button and unplug the interior light and speaker, job done.
