Yes - I recall I was quoted about £50 increase. Came to same conclusion. But clearly my request had somehow set a flag against my policy - I obviously didn't pay the increase initially as I didn't proceed, but they still added it at renewal (and then 'kindly' removed it when I grumbled!). Makes me nervous about asking them any questions at all...
