I have one I bought new in 2011, specified to be as good a towing car as possible. It has been that too.
Now over 360000 km and still ticking. Gearbox oil changes are imperative for good reliability, especially when towing.
Parts involved in my aim to make it a good towing car are these:
- Detachable hitch.
- 13-pin connector.
- Nivomat levelling system.
- All wheel drive.
- Auto gearbox with sports mode and Geartronic function (manual selection).
- Hill Descent control.
- Large mirrors.
- Backup camera.
- Parking sensors front and rear.
- Adaptive cruise control.
- Powerful engine (230 hp/470 Nm).
No child seats in mine, though. The kids have moved out since long, so I preferred heated rear seats instead.
