If you had the key in your pocket, any movement by your feet near the sensor under the rear bumper will trigger the boot to close.
This has been the case since the foot sensor opening was first offered on the SPA cars.
It’s happened to me several times - best thing to do is put the key in one of the door pockets whilst loading/unloading the boot.
