My dad has been a welder for about 35 years and can weld aluminium, tig and mig weld so he knows his stuff. He used to work building recovery lorries for broken down lorries, he used to have to weld ridiculous lengths to make a flat bed for the back of them.
Unfortunately he doesn't have room for a proper welder so he has to use my little Clarke mini mig flux core welder but he has still done a great job.
He now has a job making a prototype electric vehicle and is having tig weld the aluminium chassis together.
