Thank you for your reply. You could be right here, but Volvo Newcastle say that everything has been checked and they cannot find anything wrong with the car.

The problem is an intermittent one, the boot lid has came down 7 times 3 times on my wife's nut and twice each for the two kids.

Answer crash helmets LOL.
