Thanks for the info about the pale blue estate. I too had phoned the owner and it sounded very promising. Its still a lot of money for a car that will need some potentially serious recommissioning having stood for 30+ years. Major paintwork needed also. Glad I didn't make the trip as its 5hrs each way.
The dark blue car this thread started with has had another price drop to £4995.. At least with that one you can see what needs addressing.
