It reads like the garage knew the issue, waited for a buyer, and pushed the fix through on Selekt for which you won't get any paperwork.

My experience of Selekt is between that and the balance of manufacturer warranty you're pretty much covered to begin with. I've had very few issues with the two Volvo cars I've had, a blown intercooler, boost control valve, split intercooler return pipe nothing too major for around 200,000 miles of motoring.

I've thought about swapping my five cylinder diesel for a newer four cylinder a few times, each time I come on here I read about EGR issues, oil leaks, four figure garage bills. That usually stops me and puts replacing my S60 on hold for another few months. I've been doing that since 2017 and still have not pulled the trigger to change.
