That's great advice, thanks. I've ordered those Reely parts from Conrad as they were pretty cheap and should be here in a few days. I'll give them a spin (pun intended) before installing and check out the quality. Rose joints not being something I've looked into before, a quick search shows they're plentiful online so will do some digging for reputable options along with threaded rod.

I'll update back here with results and probably make a new thread if I go the custom route with part numbers etc.
