All of our 240s were 3 - speeders, 'Moomoo', but we didn't have one as late as that. 3+ Lockup (O/D) and 4 speed were options on 7 - series cars, identifiable by the button on the LHS of the shifter and the illuminated up-arrow on the dash.
They could well have been available on later 2 -series cars, or it's possible that someone may have 'updated' your car if it is new to you and you do not know it's history.
