Default Recall - emissions?

Hi all:

I'm new to forum be gentle, LOL. I was going to pull the trigger tomorrow on a 2013 V60... thought I'd do an MOT check to look at the history and to see if there were any open recalls. Turns out there is.

I've also recently read something that popped up in my Facebook (because I've been searching for Volvos) about a group law suit about volvo emissions that apparently they're alleged yo have had cheat devices. So I checked to see if this particular vehicle I was going to buy might be affected and it said it probably was and asked if I wanted to join the law suit. I didn't as I aint bought it yet.

Putting two and two together I wondered whether that's what the recall could have been i.e. the emissions. Thought I'd MOT check a bunch of other cars of the same model and year and about 90% of those I checked also had recalls outstanding. Odd thing is that they all said "This vehicle has been recalled since at least 20 August 2021". I wonder if it's that date because that's when I checked (I'f I'd checked on the 15th would it have said the 15th for example) or was it an incredibly lucky coincidence that the day I checked is the same day the recall went out or put on the website at least (that it wouldn't be on there if I'd checked the day before for example).

Anyway, so I guess my question is has anybody had this recall? If it is new what is it? Could it be the emissions thing. Guess I'll be onto the seller tomorrow and or the dealership with the VIN to find out.

I'll probably double post this in the V60 forum...
