The missus came home in the XC90 today and informed me it has started making a knocking noise when she lifts off on the accelerator.
I took the car out and sure enough when you lift off there is a tapping/knocking noise coming from the front end. Tried coasting in both drive and in neutral and the noise is there. Pressing the brake pedal stops the noise as does accelerating again. The noise sounds like it is linked to something rotating rather than just loose. I've checked the front brakes and they are fine, so am stuck to as what it could be. Any one experienced similar or have any ideas?
