I bought a USB endoscope and had a look at the turbo it looked very clean , I had been spraying Liqui Molley carbon remover into the turbo and letting it run out the bottom hose under the engine.
So i went to the local breakers and did a deal to hire a MAF of a 2012 xc90 just to see if it was a MAF fault , so I put it on and the car and it now runs perfectly, probably helped by cleaning the intake pipe and throttle body .
So it was a MAF fault all along ....
